Gunman at large after Melbourne man shot in abandoned factory at Springvale
A manhunt is underway in Victoria after a man in his 30s was allegedly shot at an abandoned factory before being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to the vacant factory in Springvale, in Melbourne’s south-east, shortly after 2.30pm on Saturday.
“It is believed the man was shot in the lower body,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said in a statement.
“He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”
Police are now looking for a black Porsche Cayenne after the vehicle was spotted at the scene with three men and a woman inside.
It is not known whether the occupants were directly involved in the shooting, but the police believe they can provide valuable information.

Officers have already spoken to a woman who was found at the scene.
The car was last seen heading north on Springvale Rd.
A crime scene has been cordoned off while detectives investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
Local residents said this 7News the abandoned factory is mostly empty, except for a few squatters.
However, earlier on Saturday a semi-trailer was parked in the building.
One witness said he heard “three loud bangs.”
“I saw a lady screaming in the factory and a few later, ‘bang, bang, bang,'” he said.
“A Porsche picked her up and drove away.”

Springvale hit the headlines four weeks ago after a delivery driver was viciously attacked by a group of baseball bat-wielding thugs.
The driver, Zabih Rezai, said 10 assailants attacked his 45-year-old male passenger and the car.
Mr Rezai was hit with a baseball bat during the horror attack, leaving him with a broken arm, two broken fingers and a cut on his head.
