Hiring a wedding photographer or videographer can cost a fortune, but one couple has come up with a simple idea that can save you thousands of dollars on your big day.
Carla Groves and her husband Warwick quietly launched GUEST PIX in June 2022 – after seeing a gap in the market for a private digital photo album – designed for brides, grooms and guests to upload photos via a QR code.
And for those who may be skeptical – these must-see ‘picture perfect’ event albums compiled so far speak for themselves.
Unlike a hashtag, where everything ends up on social media and is visible to the whole world, platform offers everyone attending the event the ability to add photos, videos and guestbook entries to the private gallery.
As a host, you have full control over who has access to which album. Private events are therefore only visible to invitees.
The brand has a new ‘Albums‘ feature that allows hosts to create separate folders with their own QR code – ideal for multiple events or organizing photos.
Album packs include 12 months of uploads, so you can choose when to open and close albums, making them easy to collect and share.

The best part about using the platform? Guests can upload their content directly to the album — without the hassle of downloading an app or registering for anything.
“We’ve developed an easy-to-use platform that doesn’t require any app downloads or guest registrations,” Warwick said.
In the past two years since launching, the Adelaide couple have helped thousands of hosts collect photos and videos from their weddings, birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, hen parties, corporate events and more.
“Our mission is to make events truly unforgettable by capturing your unforgettable moments,” the couple said.
Prices Prices range from $44 for small gatherings (50 guests), $77 for parties (51-100 guests) to $132 for weddings (101-250 guests).
For larger events, such as corporate parties (251-500 guests), the price is $242.

The couple wanted an easy platform using a simple yet innovative QR code system for collecting photos and videos.
“Growing up, our families loved looking through boxes of old photos because it reminded us of the good old days. This nostalgic experience helps us connect with our past in an authentic way,” the couple said.
‘With this sense of connection to moments from the past, it seemed like a logical step to help others collect special memories of important moments or milestones in their lives.
‘So we consciously started designing GUEST PIX – a private photo sharing platform specially designed for you and your guests to collect the most beautiful memories using a QR code.
