Guess who? Beloved Australian TV host looks unrecognisable in adorable childhood throwback snap
A much-loved Australian presenter who shot to fame with his breakfast television career has shared an adorable childhood photo with his fans.
The star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a sweet throwback photo of herself, along with a lengthy caption about self-esteem.
He spoke candidly about how he struggled with his “confidence” and “self-worth” in a lengthy caption next to the childhood photo.
“A sweet boy who had very little self-confidence, had no self-esteem, was self-abusive, thought he had nothing to offer and wasn’t capable of being much,” the caption read.
He started his career as a news reporter in regional New South Wales before landing a weather presenting gig on Seven’s relaunched Sunrise program in 2004.

That’s right – it’s Grant Denyer!
The television star, 46, shared the throwback image as he reflected on how far ‘little Grant’ has come in a poignant caption.
“Today big Grant is very proud of little Grant. Because he didn’t give up, or give in to chronic self-doubt and crippling lack of belief in himself. Good boy,’ he muttered.
‘It’s hard to achieve good things if you don’t love yourself. I thought self-love was something bad, selfish, and grossly self-indulgent. I know now that you can’t truly love anyone or anything without first loving yourself.
“So be kind to you. You did the best with what you had at the time,” the game show host continued.
