‘Today is 20 years ago… We were together for 3 months and went on a trip to Thailand. We had just had our first and last big disagreement…” they wrote in the caption.
“That night we decided that neither of us wanted to live a life where arguments were a regular part of it. We agreed that we would respect each other’s differences and that we both had the right to respect different opinions. We would see how it would turn out – and it did.
‘Because one of us had three teenage children (at the time) and wanted the other involved, it was always going to be complicated, but over the past twenty years we have grown and we trust each other deeply.’

‘[We] I appreciate that we both have to compromise sometimes and it turns out that we loved our choices in the end,” she added.
‘We are now more in love than we ever thought possible and because of the way our lives have turned out we now know that anything is possible with trust and love.’
