Hold on to your hats: Rockstar Games has officially confirmed the date and time fans will be able to watch the first one GTA6 trailer for the next game in the blockbuster series, and we won't have to wait long.
In a new teaser posted on Twitter/X today (December 1), Rockstar shared an image of silhouetted palm trees over a purple and orange sunset, adorned with the Rockstar Games logo and the simple words: “Trailer 1, Tuesday, December 5, 9am ET.”
I'm sure I speak for everyone invested in this long-awaited reveal when I say it's a huge relief to know when it will actually happen. To be clear, 9am ET on December 5 is the equivalent of 6am PT / 2pm GMT, or December 6 at 1am AEDT.
No further details have been provided, but as general advice I'd recommend just keeping your eyes on Rockstar Games' social media accounts when that time comes so we can see what the developers have come up with.
The hype for GTA6 (as it's unofficially called by fans) has been brewing for a while. Rockstar Games first confirmed that “active development is underway for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is in full swing” back in February 2022. Only last month did the developers reveal that the the first trailer should arrive in early December. Now, just one day a month, the excitement has already reached a fever pitch.
We still don't know what the trailer will show, it hasn't been confirmed which platforms the game will be released on, when it will be released, or even what the official name is. Hopefully everything will be revealed soon.
