Grubbies Burgers and Hawaiian barbecue shops in Queensland have been set on fire over suspected arson attacks

A Queensland entrepreneur is distraught after his burger chain was hit by two suspected arson attacks in two suburbs.
Emergency services were called to the Grubbies Burgers and Hawaiian BBQ restaurant in Redbank Plains in south-east Queensland at about 1:20am after reports of a fire breaking out.
Just 50 minutes later, the chain’s Strathpine restaurant also went up in flames.

Company owner Ben Niumata told 9 News he was devastated by both incidents.
He said the Redbank Plains location suffered external damage as a result of the blaze, while the fire at the Strathpine restaurant affected the inside of the building.

‘I’m a little emotional. I came home from work around midnight last night and got a call at 1am that our store had been broken into, so I rushed over here,” said Mr Niamuta.
He said the stores had also caught fire early last year and he doesn’t know what he did to “earn” the alleged attack.
CCTV is expected to be used in the investigation as Queensland Police have identified two separate crime scenes.
