The Republican Accountability Project released a new ad highlighting Herschel Walker’s ex-wife’s claims that he held a gun to her head and threatened to ‘blow her brains out’ in the run-up to the race for Georgia’s Senate seat.
‘Do you think you know Herschel Walker? Well think again,’ the ad, sponsored by the anti-Trump Republican group, said.
‘His eyes would become very evil. the guns and knives. I got into a few choking things with him. The first time he held the gun to my head, he held the gun to my temple, and said he was gonna blow my brains out,’ Walker’s ex-wife, Cindy Grossman, said in old footage cut into the ad. The pair were married from 1983 to 2002.
The Trump-backed candidate and former pro football star has been open about the fact that he’s been diagnosed with dissociative personality disorder.
In December Walker spoke with Axios about the domestic violence allegations.

‘I’m always accountable to whatever I’ve ever done,’ he said. ‘And that’s what I tell people: I’m accountable to it.’
‘Just like I broke my leg – I put the cast on. It healed,’ he claimed.
Still, he told Axios that Grossman is his ‘best friend.’
Walker, a longtime ally of former President Donald Trump, wrote a book in 2008 about his life with dissociative identity disorder.
He detailed past violent thoughts about harming himself and others. Walker also claimed he had a dozen different identities, saying some alters did good things while other alters exhibited extreme and violent behavior.
Since releasing his book, Walker has been an advocate for mental health awareness in the military and says he will expand mental health resources across health care, law enforcement and the military if elected to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate.
‘Most of the things I’ve done after my struggles have shown people that you can get knocked down and you can get up,’ he said. ‘And that’s what I want people to realize.’

‘Don’t be ashamed to address your issues,’ he added.
‘For a man, it’s very tough. For an African American man, it’s even harder,’ Walker said. ‘But you know, I want people to see that. And that’s one of the major reasons I decided to run.
Two other women have previously accused Walker of abuse and violent behavior.
CNN obtained a police report in September from 2002 detailing a Texas woman, a friend of Grossman, telling police that Walker threatened and stalked her.
The woman told law enforcement Walker made ‘threats to her’ and had ‘her house watched.’
She confirmed the account to CNN for Thursday’s story but refused to be identified. The woman also claimed she had never been in a relationship with Walker.
Walker married Julie Blanchard in May 2021.
In June, the Daily Beast reported that he has three estranged, secret children.
Walker’s campaign then confirmed that the senate candidate- who has previously criticized absentee fathers in black communities – has a 10-year-old son, which he fathered out of wedlock and had to be taken to court over so the mother could receive child support.
In a follow-up Thursday, The Daily Beast said Walker confirmed he had a second secret son, aged 13, with a different woman, and an adult daughter too – meaning the Republican has four children instead of just 22-year-old Christian, who has been helping with his father’s campaign.

In November Walker will face incumbent Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock, who like himself has faced domestic abuse allegations.
His ex-wife, Ouleye Warnock, accused him of running over her foot with his car in March 2020. She told police she had taken care to be ‘very quiet about the way that he is for the sake of my kids and his reputation’ surrounding his U.S. Senate bid.
‘I’ve tried to keep the way that he acts under wraps for a long time and today he crossed the line,’ she said. ‘So that is what is going on here. And he’s a great actor. He is phenomenal at putting on a really good show.’
Warnock told officers at the time his wife had exaggerated the incident and he did not crush her foot. He was never charged with a crime.
Warnock is currently polling ahead of Walker, according to a FiveThirtyEight polling average, 47.2 to 44.2 percent.
