In more recent times it has been announced that he will write an introduction to an environmental handbook that teaches young people about climate change.
Published in conjunction with the Earthshot Awards, this new book will feature a chapter by Sir David Attenborough.
It comes as Prince William prepares for a major foreign visit to New York as part of his groundbreaking Earthshot environmental awards.
The Prince of Wales will attend the second Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit on September 19, where this year’s 15 ‘groundbreaking’ finalists will be revealed.
He will also perform a number of assignments in New York City on September 18, details of which will be released at a later date.

Founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in 2020, the Earthshot Prize is a global environmental award to discover and develop breakthrough solutions to solve the climate crisis.
The five winners who will receive a £1 million prize each year for the next ten years, as well as specialist guidance, will accelerate their ambitions.
The award recognizes finalists and winners of five challenges, or ‘Earthshots’: protect and restore nature, clean our air, revive our oceans, build a waste-free world and restore our climate.
The event will place William on the same continent as his estranged brother, Prince Harry, for the first time since the former working royal visited Britain for their father’s coronation in May.
However, the pair did not meet at the time and it is believed they have not spoken since the death of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, last September.
Harry has since released his vitriolic memoir Spare, in which he claimed to have had a physical fight with his older brother during the breakdown of their relationship.
He and Meghan, who live in California, also released their Netflix documentary of the same name, which they used to launch further grievous attacks on the royal family.
