Groomsman, 21, leaves heartbreaking note for his eight siblings before taking his own life in front of girlfriend just four days before his sister’s wedding
A young man committed suicide in front of his shocked girlfriend after leaving a heartbreaking suicide note for his siblings.
Jezavion ‘Jigga’ Moody, 21, died at a local hospital on Tuesday despite the efforts of three doctors to save his life, just four days before his sister’s wedding.
He was set to be a page boy when his sister Shaisha Moody, 30, marries her fiancée Markeezia Silver on Saturday in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
“Damn I miss you all, I’m glad I got the chance to talk to you,” he wrote to his eight siblings in the handwritten note addressed to each of them by name.

Jezavion left a heartbreaking suicide note for his eight brothers and sisters, addressed to each of them by name
‘Ya boy just tired and ready to lay it down so I can sleep peacefully. If y’all love me, y’all would understand that I’m at peace right now and don’t have to worry about a thing.
Always let your children know [you] I love them forever. I always watch over you, my spirit is with you, every step of the way.’
Shaisha shared the letter in a series of posts in which she responded with grief as she tried to cope with her brother’s sudden death.
“A letter to all his brothers and sisters. Y’all this is so hard shit I can’t make it up,” she wrote on social media.
“I’ve read this letter so many times I’ve lost count. I’m trying to understand and process this.”
Jezavion’s girlfriend Nia Chantel, 20, shared a text he sent her earlier in the week in which he referred to himself in the past tense.
“I want to wish you a happy birthday in advance, it’s been a long time coming, we’ve come this far in this shit and I still love you no matter what,” he wrote.

‘I’m glad I met you, I miss your smile, everything about you… I’m still grateful to you for trying to push me to do better. You were my peace in all my troubles, even though… [you] see it.
‘I’m only okay when I’m with you, I enjoyed every moment. [with] you, live it to the fullest. I love you, happy 20th birthday, give me a little one.’
Chantel said that Jezavion had committed suicide in front of her and that he had been suffering from depression for some time.
“His depression was not new to me. I fought with him and tried to convince him over and over that he had a purpose, that he was meant to be here,” she wrote.
“I was with him every step of the way. I watched my baby take his life… and you guys up here talking about what you would have done and what I should have known.”
Shaisha insisted on Tuesday morning that her brother was still alive as doctors tried to save him and that they were confident he would survive.

“My brother is still out there! Stop calling around and spreading lies until you hear from the source! Keep praying for all of us,” she wrote.
“Jigga, you hurt me four days before my wedding, but I know you can do this, man, I know you can.”
But less than two hours later, Jezavion was dead and she wrote him a sad message.
“Jigga, I saw the doctors do EVERYTHING they could to save you. There were three doctors working on you at the same time and I swear to God I watched every single one of them,” she wrote.
“When I walked into your room, your eyes were closed. As soon as I started talking to you and telling you how much I loved you and that we were going to have a big day on Saturday, you opened your eyes a little for me and looked at me…
‘And I burst into tears and you closed your eyes again, as if you couldn’t see how sad I was behind you.
“But man, I swear to God it hurts me more than it does you seeing you laying there, knowing there was NOTHING I could do, than it does you seeing me cry… I ain’t mad at you, I just wish I could have saved you.”

The bride considered calling off her wedding, but later said it would go ahead and hoped he would be there in spirit.
“The happiest and biggest day of my life is FOUR DAYS away and my baby brother is gone FOREVER and he was one of our groomsmen. Jigga was so ready man I just don’t get it. Lord help me,” she wrote in a post.
Silver also wondered if the wedding could go ahead. He wrote to Jezavion: ‘How are we going to manage on Saturday without you?’
Man seeing my wife suffer and I can’t do anything about it is killing me. Jigga you ruined us man we love you and you will definitely be missed,’ she wrote in another post.
Many other family members and friends expressed their condolences to Jezavion’s siblings, as well as his parents Edward Moody and Lakisha Whitaker.
