Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins lost his cool during their game against the LA Lakers on Friday night after LeBron James appeared to take a swing at Jaren Jackson Jr with an elbow.

Midway through the third quarter at Crypto.com Arena, James and Jackson were fighting over a loose ball on the floor when the Lakers legend seemingly threw an elbow in the direction of the Grizzlies star.

Outraged by what he had seen, an enraged Jenkins immediately marched onto the court to call for a foul, but his protests fell on deaf ears as LeBron evaded any punishment from the officials.

Instead, the Grizzlies coach was given a technical penalty for running onto the field and expressing his frustration to the referee.

In the end, Jenkins and Memphis had the last laugh when they recorded a 127-113 victory over the Lakers in Los Angeles.

Five players posted double figures for the visitors on the night, including Jackson, who produced a 31-point, nine-rebound performance that helped LeBron and Co.

Marcus Smart also scored 29 points, Desmond Bane scored 24, Ja Morant scored 21 and Ziaire Williams was present with 15.

As for the hosts, their losing skid has been extended to four matches as they pile on the pressure on under-fire coach Darvin Ham.

But despite speculation surrounding his job, Ham stressed before the game that he and the Lakers' hierarchy would remain aligned.

“I'm solid,” he said of his future with the organization. “My governor, Jeanie Buss, the boss lady; our President, Robert Pelinka – we are all on the same page.

'As long as they don't say it, I'm fine with it. Where I know how they feel about me and the situation we are currently in.'

LeBron and Anthony Davis scored 32 and 31 points respectively for the Lakers on Friday night, although their returns were in vain as the Grizzlies were not winners.
