Referring to the mugshot of the real Griselda, Angela explained, “We could never have made her like that. If we start with basic logistics, it would have been unfeasible to put her in that character for a television series. “So our goal was to give her an edge. I mean, that’s really the best way I can describe it because we didn’t make her ugly and it was never our intention to make her ugly, but our intention was to give her an edge.”

She said Sofia had to undergo a little transformation because viewers would be “distracted” by her “pretty face running around with a gun.”
