What a Grinch! Shocking moment cop dressed as Christmas villain punches reveller to the ground after he teases his partner
This is the shocking moment a police officer dressed as the Grinch knocked a reveler to the ground after allegedly teasing his partner at a Christmas parade.
Footage captured one of the officers running over a drunk man during an event in La Pintana, Chile, known as ‘Caravana Navideña MICC’ – which translates to ‘Christmas Caravan’.
The officers involved in the altercation are believed to belong to the Carabineros, Chile’s national law enforcement agency.
In the video, captured by an onlooker, the man can be seen running after the officer, prompting him to retaliate.
The officer then charges forward at the man, throwing several punches, one of which ultimately causes him to fall to the ground.
It appears the situation ended with the officer being filmed standing over him as shouting and screaming could be heard in the background.
A woman dressed as an elf can also be seen jumping out of a vehicle onto the road as she runs to the scene.
According to reports, both officers were riding on a pickup truck when the incident began after the man allegedly decided to harass one of them.

Many of the 200 people who attended the event witnessed the melee as they stood on either side of the street for the Christmas parade.
About ten people on scene were able to safely remove the officer after the incident.
The man who was struck was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for dental injuries and minor injuries to his lower back.
Caravana Navideña MICC is a traditional Chilean holiday event where trucks decorated with Christmas lights drive through the streets.
Bronze bands also tour a community to spread holiday cheer and hand out sweets to children for three days, usually between December 21 and 23.
