Grimacing ‘Gold Bar’ Bob Menendez Enters New Jersey Home With Embarrassing Medical Treatment During Ongoing Bribery Case

Senator Bob Menendez has spent an awful lot of time sitting during his court appearance for his ongoing bribery case, so much so that it could have led to an uncomfortable and embarrassing medical condition.

Exclusive footage from DailyMail.com shows the embattled New Jersey Democrat leaving his car at home on Wednesday with haemorrhoid cream in his hand.

In the photos, Menendez can be seen holding a box of RectiCare, a cream intended to help users deal with the discomfort caused by swollen anus and rectal veins.

It appeared he was also in pain, as the footage shows the lawmaker’s grimace, possibly due to the discomfort of the condition.

Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., was seen coming home with a box of hemorrhoid cream in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The senator is on trial in New York City and returned to his home in New Jersey this morning with luggage. Bob was seen blocking keypad access to his garage with his suit bag as he dialed the code to enter his garage

Menendez also had his luggage in tow when he arrived at his home, although it is unknown why he had the luggage as he lives just a few miles from Manhattan, where his ongoing trial is taking place.

Besides the hemorrhoids, it’s already been a rough week for Menendez.

On Tuesday, new images in his ongoing bribery case revealed his cluttered home littered with gold bars and wads of cash in Timberland boots and in his bed.

The images of $100, $50 and $20 bills strewn throughout the New Jersey Democrat’s unkempt home were shown to the jury during his ongoing criminal trial in Manhattan.

The photos were taken during the FBI raid on Menendez’s home in June 2022.

He and his wife Nadine are both charged in a bribery scheme involving gold bars, hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash payments and a luxury Mercedes-Benz convertible.

He is accused of using his influence as the powerful then-chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to benefit a handful of businessmen and the government of Egypt.

Menendez, Nadine and two New Jersey businessmen – Wael Hana and Fred Daibes – have pleaded not guilty.

Last week, Menendez’s legal team threw Nadine under the bus, saying she kept gold bars in the couple’s home without lawmakers’ knowledge.

His defense strategy was revealed despite Nadine announcing she has breast cancer.

The Democrat’s attorney, Avi Weitzman, claimed during opening remarks that the “gold bars were found in a locked closet” and that it wasn’t the lawmaker’s closet, but “it’s Nadine’s closet.”

He then pulled out a photo of the closet and highlighted how it was filled with Nadine’s clothes.

“The senator didn’t know the gold bars were there,” Weitzman told the jury.

However, federal prosecutors allege that Menendez was directly involved in the bribery scheme.

“This case is about a public servant who put greed first. Who put his power up for sale,” U.S. Attorney Lara Pomerantz said Wednesday.

‘This was not politics as usual. This was politics for profit.”

‘He was powerful. He was also corrupt. And what was his price? Gold bars,” Pomerantz said.

“The scheme lined his pockets, it lined his wife’s pockets, and it fed their greed.”

“Menendez abused his positions to feed his own greed and keep his wife happy,” federal prosecutors said.

Pomerantz even claimed that Menendez used his wife to handle communications as part of the bribery scheme.

“He used Nadine as an intermediary to deliver messages to and from the people who paid bribes.”

Judge Sidney H. Stein, who is presiding over the case, told potential jurors that renowned lawmakers, former White House officials and even one man believed to be in the running for a vice presidential position for Trump could all be called in to to testify in the high-profile corruption case.
