Grim new details emerge about how mum was allegedly killed inside her home just metres from her young children – before her ex-boyfriend is arrested and cops seize blood-stained knife
A large, blood-stained knife was bagged and taken as evidence by forensic police investigating the alleged murder of a mother of four.
Logee Osias, 46, was found unconscious at her Kangaroo Flat home, near Bendigo in Victoria, around midnight on Sunday.
Two of her children, a six-year-old and a nine-year-old girl, were in the house during the alleged attack, with one calling triple zero for help.
Mrs Osias was rushed to hospital, where she tragically died a short time later.
Detectives have arrested her 44-year-old ex-boyfriend, who is under police guard in hospital, after he was found in a reservoir near Ms Osias’ home.

In the hours after the tragedy, forensic police teams searched the property.
An officer could be seen handling a large knife, covered in blood, which was found among children’s toys in the backyard of the property.
Homicide detectives and forensic officers remained in the single-story brick home Monday evening.
“The investigation is still ongoing,” a police spokeswoman said.
“The area has been cordoned off and a crime scene has been established.”

A close friend of Ms. Osias described her as a “loving mother.”
“She’s a good mother, she’s a good friend and she does everything for her children and they love her,” the friend told reporters on Monday.
‘She’s just beautiful, and everyone around her will say the same.
‘As a mother she is always there for her children.’
