Grey’s Anatomy alums Justin Chambers and Chyler Leigh were thrilled to reunite ahead of the Season 21 premiere.
The two actors shared the same selfie on their Instagram feeds on Friday, with Justin’s arm around Chyler in the photo.
They both wear glasses and are dressed very casually, with Chambers wearing a green hoodie and Leigh a black t-shirt.
“Being with LEXIE is HEAVENLY @chy_leigh,” Chambers captioned the photo, while replying, “Hey it’s us!! ”
Chyler captioned her photo, “KAREV… forever charming @officialjustinchambers.”
Justin Chambers and Chyler Leigh, who played Alex Karev and Lexie Grey on Grey’s Anatomy, had a reunion ahead of the season 21 premiere
It appeared that the former teammates were standing outside a restaurant that had not yet opened. Through the windows, stacked chairs could be seen.
Chambers was one of the original cast members of this long-running medical drama.
From 2005 to 2020, he played Dr. Alex Karev for 16 seasons, when his character left Seattle to reunite with Katherine Heigl’s Izzie.
Chyler was admitted to Seattle Grace Hospital, as the hospital was then known, in season three as Dr. Lexie Grey, the younger half-sister of Ellen Pompeo’s Dr. Meredith Grey.
She appeared on the show for five seasons until she was killed in season eight, after which the hospital changed its name to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
Fans were overjoyed to see the two big favorites together again.
“When Alex Karev and Lexie Grey get a picture together again it’s like we’re going back to when our TV hearts weren’t shattered into a million pieces!” one fan wrote.
‘WAIT, LEXI AND ALEX ARE BACK?! I would literally go watch Greys again!!!!’ someone else exclaimed.

Chambers left Grey’s Anatomy to spend more time with his wife and four children.
He also played Marlon Brando in the Paramount+ miniseries The Offer.
Leigh has been very busy since her character was killed off.
She was a regular guest on series such as Super Girl, The Flash and The Way Home.
