Greta Thunberg has spoken out for the first time since ‘toxic’ influencer Andrew Tate was arrested over changes in human trafficking; he claimed that he felt ‘threatened’ by her.
The Swedish eco-activist suggested Tate trolled her just days before he and his brother were arrested because people like her “threaten” him in an interview with ABC News-The View.
The 20-year-old said: ‘There are many, many problems in the world that we need people to address.
“But it seems like they feel so threatened or feel like their world view is so threatened by people like me, climate activists and environmental activists, speaking out that they feel like they need to silence us and make fun of us.
‘That should be seen as a positive sign because that means we’re actually having an impact.

“Otherwise, they wouldn’t be wasting their time trolling us online.”
These comments were in response to a viral online war of words between the two, where the misogynistic influencer bragged about his collection of exhaust-belching cars.
The former kickboxer tried to mock the activist by bragging about the “enormous emissions” from his vehicles while sharing a photo of himself standing next to a Bugatti and claiming he owned 33 cars.
“Please provide your email address so I can send you a complete list of my car collection and their respective huge releases,” he tweeted, tagging Miss Thunberg.
She replied: ‘Yes, please enlighten me. email me at smalld***energy@getalife.com.’
It comes when the influencer was detained along with his brother, Tristan, and two other suspects while they raided his home in the capital, Bucharest.
Tate (pictured) is a prolific social media personality, flaunting her lavish online lifestyle.

Tate and his brother have been under investigation since April last year along with two Romanian citizens.
The 36-year-old man was arrested in December with his brother on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organized crime group to exploit women.
The four detainees have yet to be officially charged with any crime and maintain their innocence.
He lost his appeal against a decision to keep him in jail for 30 days while police investigate the sex trafficking allegations, meaning he will remain in custody until February 27.
The couple moved into a converted warehouse in Romania in 2017, which had armed guards.
Andrew and Tristan Tate have dual citizenship of the US and the UK. The brothers were born to an American father and a British mother, and grew up partially in both countries.
