Former US captain and Giovanni Reyna’s father, Claudio Reyna, as well as his wife Danielle, reportedly sent more than one message to the US Soccer Federation threatening to reveal personal information about the coach in head of the national team, Gregg Berhalter, during the World Cup.

The messages began after Berhalter told Gio Reyna that he would play a limited role in Qatar, according to ESPN.

Claudio Reyna (No. 10) allegedly sent more than one message to the US Soccer Federation threatening to reveal personal information about national team head coach Gregg Berhalter (No. 3) during the World Cup. The pair played for the United States between 1994 and 2006.
The report claims that US Soccer learned the sensitive details about the US head coach on December 11.
Claudio Reyna, who played for the US alongside Berhalter from 1994 to 2006, contacted the governing body along with his wife Danielle with information about Berhalter’s domestic violence incident involving his wife Rosalind in 1991.
Dailymail.com contacted Claudio Reyna’s team, but they did not respond.
US Soccer was reportedly contacted the same day Berhalter opened at a leadership event and claimed he almost sent home an unidentified player from the World Cup in Qatar.
The boss did not name the player, but fans quickly speculated about it online and Gio Reyna confirmed it the next day on his Instagram profile.
