A Greens politician has stepped down indefinitely and is facing calls to resign over allegations of misconduct.

Mr Davis has been contacted for comment.
Greens leader Shane Rattenbury said he had received “extremely serious complaints” about Mr Davis’ behaviour.

Mr Rattenbury said his office had seen no evidence of illegal activity but had reported what it knew to police.
“A complaint was brought to my attention early this week, and another complaint followed shortly after,” he said in a statement on Friday.
“I immediately asked a member of my senior staff to conduct an initial review to determine appropriate next steps, and I have terminated Mr. Davis.”
Police confirm they have received a referral in connection with the case.
In a joint statement, ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr and Deputy Yvette Berry said the allegations were “very serious” and called on Mr Davis to resign from the Legislative Assembly.
“These are very serious allegations against a sitting MLA and affect his ability to assume his role,” they said.
‘Mr Davis will have to consider his position.
“The best course of action would be to accept the position of the ACT Greens party leadership and resign his position in the assembly.”
They asked the ACT Greens to ensure support was provided to those who made the cases public and that services were available to community members in need.
Mr Davis serves for the southern ACT seat of Brindabella and was elected to the area’s Legislative Assembly in 2020.
