The two then open the trunk of the Mazda as a gunman walks up to the pair, checks his weapon, then runs to their location.

A passenger jumps out of the car before the driver accelerates towards the hooded gunman, who then fires in the direction of the vehicle.

The gunman then returns to the Camry when another man in a purple shirt is seen gesticulating in nearby Highview St.

A Hyundai Veloster was seen speeding past a security camera at another home and picked up the man.

After the incident, a woman in a black shirt and black pants wanders down the road.

Officers found damage consistent with bullets fired at the vehicle, empty shell casings, and damage to a fence.

Police believe three shots were fired at the Mazda 3 while a four-month-old baby was inside, in an alleged illegal transaction.

Investigators claim the transaction took place in the cul-de-sac between two men before they were ambushed by the gunman.

Police declared a crime scene and searched for clues, while the State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad conducted its investigation under Strike Force Terrol.

“Police believe there were two women and four men involved in the transaction, who may have links to organized crime networks (OCN),” NSW police said.

The gunman then allegedly fled the scene in a black Toyota Camry before getting into a gray Hyundai Veloster near Bankstown.

Anyone with dash cam video of the incident is urged to come forward.
