Netflix fans rave about ’10/10′ Oscar-winning movie as they declare ‘it was one of the best films I’ve ever seen’
Netflix fans are hailing an Oscar-winning film as one of the best films they’ve ever seen after it hit the streaming platform early this month.
Cinemagoers were impressed by the film in question, which was released in 2018 to critical acclaim.
They expressed their love for a film that – despite winning an Academy Award – was not as popularly received by audiences as some of today’s releases.
The release has an 8.2/10 rating on IMDb and a 91 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
This is Green Book, which focuses on the accidental friendship between a renowned pianist and his driver/bodyguard.

The film’s synopsis reads: ‘When Tony Lip, a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to help Dr. Don Shirley, a world-class black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on “The Green Book” to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African Americans.
‘Faced with racism, danger – but also unexpected humanity and humor – they are forced to put aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime.
“The film (is) inspired by a true friendship that transcends race, class and the 1962 Mason-Dixon line.”
At the 2019 Oscars, Green Book beat off competition from Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star Is Born to win Best Picture.
Mahershala Ali was also recognized for his performance as Dr. Don Shirley, for which he received the Best Supporting Actor award.
