A greedy Texas mom and her family came under heavy fire on social media after they were caught on camera finishing an entire bowl of Halloween candy to take home.
The unidentified woman and her family yesterday raided a huge candy bowl outside musician Cody Tate’s home.
Video footage from Tate shows three adult women running to the bowl and grabbing handfuls of candy, while a bunch of children and a teenager run after them.
The group of nine finished the bowl in seconds, unaware that they were being recorded by Tate’s Ring camera.

Ultimately, the family is seen running away as the teen takes one last look to check if there is any candy for him to take.
A sign had reportedly been posted outside the house instructing visitors to choose only one candy, which the family had ignored.
The musician, a member of Whiskey Myers, posted the video to Instagram and captioned it, “And this is why you can’t trust people. If you know who it is, please share. I thought it would happen, but not for adults. Now all children are not allowed to have sweets after these people.’

Many viewers expressed their disgust at the family’s actions. One user wrote: ‘And those kids are going to be just like those adults, or worse. Sad.’
Another user also wrote: ‘It doesn’t matter who they are, where they come from or what their nationality is. What matters is the horrible example they set for their children of greed and selfishness.
‘For me it is a wake-up call to teach by example. Kindness, compassion and politeness need to be taught more than ever in today’s world! Let’s all do a little better.’
One user shared Tate’s concerns about other children not getting sweets, writing: ‘Unbelievable. No care for the children who come after them and find it empty.’
A few hours later, Tate posted another video to his Instagram Story of one of his neighbors emptying a bag of candy into the empty bowl outside his house.
Tate captioned it, “There are still good people out there! Neighbor Scott for Halloween MVP!

No members of the family have yet been identified and it is not known whether they are also neighbors or door-to-door trick-or-treaters.
