Greece wildfires LIVE: Corfu and Rhodes burn as thousands of desperate tourists are evacuated to rescue flights
Jet2 has said three repatriation flights are scheduled for Monday evening to bring back hundreds of holidaymakers from Rhodes.
The holiday company said a flight with 95 people on board landed in Leeds Bradford late Sunday night.
In addition to more than 50 scheduled flights, a flight will depart on Monday to Manchester, another to Leeds Bradford and a third to Birmingham.
A spokesperson said: ‘We understand how difficult this experience has been for many, and our full focus is on looking after our customers. We have a significantly expanded presence in Rhodes, with a huge team of experienced colleagues providing all possible support to our customers, whether in the affected areas or at Rhodes airport.
“We have also set up three repatriation flights to take our customers home, which is in addition to our planned schedule of flights continuing to fly from Rhodes to the UK this week. We continue to make decisions in the best interest of our customers and keep a close eye on everything.’
