Danny’s fans took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to claim he should have his own cooking show

The former soap star claimed at the start of the episode that he had ‘never’ baked in his life and as he put his cake together later in the show, there was panic that his masterpiece would fall to the floor.

He exclaimed, “It’s over, it’s over.”

Ultimately, Danny decided he’d just have to live with the results, but luckily the cake stayed in place.

The Heat actor was joined by comedian Leigh Francis, funnyman Rhod Gilbert and radio DJ Yinka Bokinni during the special, which saw Keith Lemon star Leigh, 50, take home the Star Baker apron.

Leigh ditched his alter ego of Keith Lemon to take part in the Channel 4 special, impressing judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with his ‘disgusting’ Showstopper.

Commissioned to turn their biggest disaster into a cake, Leigh decided to recreate the moment he lost his toenail by creating an impressive baked replica of his injured foot.

The judges and viewers were seriously impressed with the baking, especially after Leigh admitted he had never made a cake before.

“That toenail looks so realistic,” one viewer tweeted.
