Great British Bake Off star Liam Charles’ ‘huge net-worth revealed’ after impressing viewers befores winning new roles as Professionals presenter and Junior Bake Off judge

Bake Off favorite Liam Charles’ massive net worth has reportedly been revealed, after the baker climbed the rankings by becoming a presenter and then judging on spin-offs from the show.

According to Buzzlearn, the 26-year-old TV star could increase his net worth between £740,000 and £3.7 million.

The British presenter joined The Great British Bake Off in season 8 of 2017 and not long after became a presenter on Bake Off: The Professionals and a judge on Junior Bake Off.

During the show he impressed judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith and reached the quarter-finals, where he eventually finished fifth.

The Hackney native came from humble beginnings and was just a student at Goldsmiths University when he first entered the baking competition.

The host has fully invested in his deep-rooted passion for cooking and has written two books, including Cheeky Treats: 70 Brilliant Bakes and Cakes and Second Helpings.

After his stint on Bake Off, Liam worked as food columnist for The Guardian.

Despite being extremely low-key in his personal life and mainly using his social media for things related to baking and fun content, Yahoo reported that he previously mentioned a girlfriend named Alexis in a now-deleted Instagram post.

It remains unclear whether or not Liam is currently in a relationship.

The post showed him hugging a young lady and wrote: “And the rest was history. This big-headed person is the only reason I keep going to LA.”

In April, claims emerged that the baking show could be forced to move to a streaming giant when its contract with Channel 4 expired.

The channel canceled several shows in 2023, reportedly to control costs, raising concerns that the channel could be bought.

But according to reports, The Great British Bake Off will now remain with the broadcaster while Love Productions works towards signing a new contract.

A TV insider told The Sun at the time: ‘Love Productions, who make Bake Off, really want to make the show as accessible as possible to the army of devotees who have loyally supported them for the past fourteen years.’

They added: ‘So despite rumors of multi-million pound deals with streamers, they have decided to stick with Channel 4 where the whole country can tune in to what is now considered a national treasure.

‘C4 and Love Productions are now working out the details, but they are working to ensure that the foundation remains in place.

MailOnline has contacted Channel 4 for comment.

It was previously reported that The Great British Bake Off found itself at the center of a £100 million tug-of-war between streaming giants before its contract expired.

Claims emerged that the show may be forced to move to a streaming giant due to Channel 4’s ‘money problems’.

The broadcaster’s contract to air the hit baking competition reportedly expires after the 2024 series, and it was claimed that there had been no talks to renew it yet.

The Sun claimed in February that Netflix and Disney+ have been named as potential buyers.

Channel 4 is also said to be planning to cut 200 jobs after a huge drop in television advertising.

The show, judged by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith and presented by Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond, launched on the BBC in 2010.

However, it was bought by Channel 4 in 2016 for £25 million, a shockwave that saw the original presenters sensationally quit.

Netflix currently has the rights to broadcast Bake Off in America, while ITV came close to bidding for the UK rights during the last round of negotiations, but decided against it.

Channel 4 said: ‘Any speculation around contracts is just that and we look forward to bringing many more soaking bottoms to our viewers in the future.’

Netflix and Disney+ declined to comment.

A subsequent update claimed that The Great British Bake Off will now remain with the broadcaster while Love Productions works to sign a new contract (Paul, Prue, Alison and Noel with finalists Matty, Josh and Dan).

Judge Prue recently broke her silence on the claims, telling The Mirror: ‘Oh my God, I hope to stay on Bake Off wherever it goes. But I don’t think it will move.

‘I know a lot of people are struggling and Channel 4 has lost a lot of shows.

‘But I’m pretty sure as long as Channel 4 is around they will continue to follow Bake Off. It’s definitely one of their best shows. I think it has found its natural home on Channel 4.”
