Yorkshire-born Abbi first learned to bake with her mother and honed those early skills during her teenage years, when she became fascinated with the Victorian era and especially the traditional bakes of the time: steamed puddings, fruitcakes and more.
Now she draws her inspiration from her surroundings and the beautiful English countryside surrounding her home.
She loves the outdoors and looks for seasonal ingredients – the bigger and bolder the better – and makes good use of her home-grown vegetables.
The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 on Tuesday at 8pm.
