Great British Bake Off FIRST LOOK: New host Alison Hammond joins the tent in a fun sneak peek of show debut
Fans were treated to a first look at The Great British Bake Off on Wednesday when new presenter Alison Hammond joined the marquee alongside Noel Fielding.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the This Morning presenter, 48, would replace 49-year-old Matt Lucas from Little Britain on the much-loved Channel 4 program following his departure.
The The highly anticipated new series will air on Wednesday, giving fans a first glimpse of the hit show’s new presentation series.
The joyful trail is fans’ first chance to see Alison in the marquee alongside co-host Noel and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
In a new animated film, fans will see a merry crew of ingredients embark on an epic journey to the iconic Bake Off tent.

Upon reaching the marquee, the sweet ingredients fulfill their dream and become part of the iconic chocolate and raspberry pie that fans can see in the opening credits.
It doesn’t take long for the final cake to be devoured by the judges and presenters.
The clip will first air on Channel 4 at 6:58pm on August 30th and will also act as a roadblock across the Channel 4 network at 9pm.
The upcoming series will return to Channel 4 in September.
It comes after nnew co-host of Great British Bake Off Alison revealed that not a single piece of cake was involved in her audition for the role.
To see if she was good enough for the job, Alison was asked by producers to chat with strangers at a garden center, without seeing sweet treats.
To shed light on her audition, she said, “They let me interview random strangers, to see clearly if I’m good with different people. It was a strange audition.’
After securing the role, Alison was told to keep the exciting news to herself for three weeks, but she couldn’t resist letting her son Aiden, 18, in on the secret.

She joked about her inability to maintain schtum, she added The sun: “Can you believe I couldn’t tell anyone?”
Alison confirmed her exciting new role on Great British Bake Off in a video of a cake that was shaped like the show’s iconic white tent and featured a model of her, Noel, and judges Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith.
In a voice-over, the presenter said: ‘This is the latest news, Alison Hammond has joined the team of The Great British Bake Off.’
Alongside the post, she wrote, “It’s official!! It happens The Great British Bake off! let’s have it – The cake so excited @BritishBakeOff @Channel4 @PrueLeith @PaulHollywood @noelfielding11 #GBBO’
Existing co-host Noel was more than happy to welcome Alison to the Great British Bake Off family.
The Mighty Boosh star shared a photo of his new co-host on his Instagram, writing: ‘I am so happy to welcome @alisonhammond55 to the tent.
“I am absolutely thrilled that we are working together. We are going to giggle like naughty school kids all the time.
‘The bakers will love you. xxx @paul.hollywood @prueleith @britishbakeoff x’
Matt confirmed in December that he had quit the show after three series, citing his heavy workload as the reason he had left Bake Off.
He wrote: ‘Goodbye Bake Off! It was a wonderful experience and I can’t imagine a nicer way to spend my summers.’
