Great British Bake Off finale: Viewers are furious as Sarendro Framhouse fails to secure a Hollywood handshake throughout the series
Big British Bake Off fans left distraught after baker Sandro Farmhouse failed to get his Hollywood handshake during Tuesday’s final, which saw Syabira Yusoff crowned champion.
Fitness fanatic Sandro, 30, had expressed his hopes throughout the series, but Judge Paul Hollywood’s coveted honor never materialized.
On Twitter, the show’s official account joked, “Sandro’s wait for a handshake in Hollywood has outlasted Liz Truss’s time as Prime Minister.”

The politician is known to have been in office for only 50 days, making her the shortest-ever British Prime Minister.
During the episode, a fan teased, “If Sandro doesn’t get a Hollywood handshake at the end of the finale, we’ll riot!”.
Sandro battled it out alongside Syabira and Abdul Rehman Sharif, 29, all hoping to impress Paul and fellow judge Prue Leith.
Another viewer wrote: ‘Syabira has always been brilliant but I really can’t call it tonight! Really hope Sandro gets his handshake!’.

And a fifth shared a funny photo of a Furby toy with a knife and joked, “If Sandro doesn’t get a handshake in Hollywood tonight…”
But after a tricky technical piece, all three bakers failed to impress and Sandro ended his time on the series without his much-wanted handshake.

Another taking to social media, a distraught viewer shared a GIPH that read, “Okay, I’m going to cry.” Post caption: “Sandro after not getting that one Hollywood handshake he has craved all season.
While another shared a photo of a crying child, adding, “I realized Sandro wasn’t getting his Hollywood handshake when it was all he ever wanted.”
A third shared a photo of Kim Woodburn during a showdown on Celebrity Big Brother who teased, “I’m on my way to find Paul after never giving Sandro a Hollywood handshake.”

Syabira winner defeated stiff competition from both Sandro and Rehman Sharif, 29, in what turned out to be a very tough final for the trio.
After presenter Matt Lucas called her name, Syabira was delighted to say her win was the “greatest achievement of my life.”
Judge Paul Hollywood praised Syabira after her win, saying, “Some of the flavors we’ve never had in the place before and probably won’t get again, she’s an incredible baker.”

Meanwhile, Noel told the cardiovascular research associate that he had “never seen a baker like you.”
After her win, Syabira commented, “I can’t believe it, honestly, it hasn’t sunk in yet. All the hard work, all the trial and error, it’s all been worth it.”
