A wanted suspect has been shot dead by police in Arizona after pointing a gun at the head of a police dog.
Shocking bodycam video released by the Tucson Police Department captured the moment police tracked down Francisco Javier Galarza, who was wanted in connection with a bank robbery and burglary.
Galarza, 49, was seen exiting a Circle K supermarket when officers ordered him to lie on the floor.
“Runner, runner, runner, runner,” an officer shouts.

When Galaza refused their orders, he was tackled by a police dog named Kiro who ran to the man’s legs.
In an instant, Galaza pulled out a pistol and aimed it at K-9’s head before aiming it at other police officers as well.
Officers, in turn, targeted the man before firing five shots and killing him.
The police could be heard yelling ‘Police! Stoop!’ several times at Galarza as he ran away. Agent Barry Peterson, a 15-year veteran, then released Kiro.

Galaraza was warned that a gun would be fired before the deadly shots were released.
Several agencies are now reviewing the footage to determine whether the deadly use of force was justified.
Galarza has a long criminal record according to: News13.
In 1992 Galaraza was sentenced to three years in prison. Two years later, he was convicted of drug possession and sentenced to four years.
In 2000, Galarza was convicted of car theft. In 2001, he was convicted of six counts of armed robbery and sentenced to 11 years in prison. After his release, he was again convicted of armed robbery for another seven and a half years.
