Graphic designer making VERY literal photoshop edits pokes fun at woman who asked to remove bin lady from Instagram photo background
A graphic designer has poked fun at a woman who asked that a garbage lady be removed from the background of her otherwise perfect photo.
James Fridman from the UK received a message from a fan asking him to edit a photo she recently took in Valencia, Spain.
The image shows the woman from the Netherlands posing in the middle of a picturesque square with the city’s Gothic cathedral in the background.
But after taking a closer look at the image, the woman said her eye was drawn to a garbage collector wearing a fluorescent orange uniform in the background.
She then saw it as a good opportunity to connect with James – who has amassed more than 2.4 million followers for his very literal and brutal interpretations of Photoshop requests.
The woman said the color of the garbage collector’s uniform kept drawing her attention and saw it as a good opportunity to get in touch with graphic designer James Fridman
The woman wrote: ‘Hi James, I really like this picture, but could you do something about the garbage lady?
“I don’t like the orange in the picture.”
As always, James did as the woman asked – but then edited the rest of the photo to reflect what the square would want without garbage collectors.
He sent the image back to her and simply wrote, “Done.”
The edited photo showed the beautiful town square littered with countless garbage bags and piles of rubbish.
What’s more, James mounted the bins so they overflowed without the presence of the garbage collector.
In addition to adding a giant dirty puddle at the woman’s feet, he also attached a piece of scrap paper to her leg.
Since James’ edited photo was uploaded to his Facebook post earlier this week, he has racked up more than 191,000 likes and fans have used it to highlight the importance of the work garbage collectors do.
James did exactly what the woman asked for – but then edited the rest of the photo to reflect what the square would want without garbage collectors
One replied, “I also like the garbage stuck to her leg.” Deep respect for the people who do that work.’
Another added: “Shout out to all the people who clean up litter/garbage/garbage.
“Thank you for your service.”
“Without the cleaning lady, you wouldn’t even see a neat place to take a picture,” said a third.
A fourth said: ‘People don’t think about the importance of the hard work people do, which most of us don’t want to do, and the impact it would have if they weren’t there.
‘Well spotted James, strong message in my opinion!’

However, others said it was clear the woman was in on James’ prank and wasn’t trying to be disrespectful to the garbage collector.
One supporter said: ‘I think she asked nicely and meant no harm to the cleaning lady.
“Why are people so annoying on the internet these days?”
Another wrote, “Does anyone else think she was just asking the editor to change the color of the sanitation lady’s vest and not remove her from the picture?”
In recent years, James has delighted social media users with his cheeky take on their edit requests — including a woman who got more than she bargained for after asking James to bring her closer to the camera in a scenic waterfall shot.
