Grant Denyer’s wife, Chezzi, shared a heartwarming update on Tuesday about two-year-old daughter Sunday’s hip dysplasia.

The TV producer, 42, shared a video from Sunday crawling around in a hip brace last year and walking around this year to show what a difference a year makes.

In her lengthy Instagram post, Chezzi told other parents who have children with the condition to “hold on,” admitting that “watching your baby in pain is absolute agony.”

“What a HUGE leap in one year for our little hippie baby Sunday,” Chezzi wrote.

And for all the parents with newly diagnosed hip dysplasia bubba… hang in there… the nights are long and the days even longer when you have a baby in a brace or cast. Watching your baby hurt or feel uncomfortable is absolute agony. You think you can’t handle it. The lack of sleep. The constant discomfort.’

“The lump in your throat when you encourage your baby for another procedure. Another general anesthetic. The fear you feel in the pit of your stomach. Try to keep your eyes on the end goal. You have to be strong for them.’

Chezzi mentioned the countless medical appointments and even leaving work to take a leave of absence can be stressful.

But she encouraged parents to take care of themselves, too.

“Make sure you take care of both yourself and your baby. It’s hard and exhausting and stressful and scary… but feeling all those things and expressing all the emotions when you can is a must. Connect with the fantastic online communities for advice and compassion. The Facebook groups saved my life last year,” she said.

In August last year, Chezzi revealed she believed she had caused her daughter Sunday’s hip dysplasia.

The little one had emergency surgery in March to correct her severe hip dysplasia and has since made a full recovery.

“I went into shock when the specialist explained that she needed to be given a general anesthetic and placed in a plaster cast called a spica as soon as possible,” said Cheryl, 42. magazine Body and Soul.

“Because (her hip dysplasia) had been diagnosed so late, her hip had basically kept flapping in the wind. They wanted to act quickly. If we waited any longer, she would need a hip replacement,” she continued.

“I felt a lot of mother’s guilt. I wondered if I could have somehow caused the problem by wrapping her too tightly.

Or if I should have pushed the doctors more for answers. But I trusted the system. Even though I knew something wasn’t right, I wanted to believe it was all okay. But it wasn’t.”

Hip dysplasia is when the socket doesn’t completely cover the ball of the upper thigh, causing the hip to become dislocated.

It’s something people are usually born with, and the surgery requires patients to recover in a spica cast, which covers the legs from the ankles to the navel, with a groin cut out for bathroom use.

“Hang in there darling, you have already shown us how brave and smart you are. Love Daddy,” Grant previously wrote online about his daughter’s battle with the condition.

In addition to Sunday, Grant and Chezzi are also parents to daughters Sailor, 10, and Scout, six.
