Deal or No Deal presenter Grant Denyer has reassured fans that the reboot of the fan favorite has not been doctored.
The former weatherman, 46, made his comments after a woman recently plucked from the studio audience won a whopping $20,000 on the guessing game show.
Responding to a suggestion, lucky contestant Rhiannon Maxwell knew she would be picked, Grant said: ‘Absolutely not’.
‘We didn’t cheat at all. They are completely blind,” he said in an interview with the industry blog Television tonight on Tuesday.
He then joked: “You can see it in the reactions because Australians are not great actors.”

He continued, “They (in the studio audience) have absolutely no idea that they’re going to be picked. Everyone we’ve chosen so far has no idea.”
Grant recently discussed the changes made to the Channel 10 teatime favourite, which premiered on Monday.
The updated Deal or No Deal no longer features a range of glamorous models.
It was a role etched in history after future Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle served as such a model on the US version of the show between 2006 and 2007.

Instead, it’s the contestants who have to open the show’s signature suitcases.
Grant also explained to TV Tonight on Friday that the show has been cut from an hour to thirty minutes.
“We reduced the number of cases from 26 to 22 to accommodate that, give a little more room to breathe and just be a little more playful,” he said in the interview.
‘There’s a bit more heart and humanity in it. It actually surprises me a bit. I expected it to be good, but I didn’t expect it to be great, and I fucking love it.”
Originally shown on Channel Seven, Deal or No Deal was canceled in 2014 after ten years.
