Baby Beau’s parents, Hunter Biden and Melissa Cohen, are also coming along.

Lawyers for Hunter tried to have the tax charges against him dismissed in a California court on Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Marc Scarsi was particularly skeptical of the claim that Hunter faced “selective and vindictive” prosecution. “One of the big hurdles with this motion is that it lacks any evidence,” he said. A trial could take place in June.

Biden’s weekend getaway, which relied on the presidential limousine, Marine One, and a pair of government Air Force One jets, came hours after he joked about the presidential plane with Late Show host Stephen Colbert.

‘You are all busy men, you have to rule the world. Here’s an important question. All three of you served on Air Force One. You still have the keys, Mr. Biden. My Boeing made that, right? Will those doors remain open?’ Colbert asked Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton about the fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall.

“Before you go any further, will you give Pete Buttigieg a socket wrench to tighten the bolts?” he joked, referring to manufacturer Boeing’s problems, including a door plug that fell from an Alaska Airlines plane in flight.

‘I’m not going to sit by the door. I’m just kidding. I shouldn’t even joke about it,” Biden responded, joking about Boeing’s problems and an Alaska Airlines flight.

“One thing I can tell you about Air Force One: We are not changing the color,” he added. “Trump wanted to change the color.”

That prompted Obama, who added Biden to his ticket in 2008 and who advised him on his re-election, to endorse his view. “Yes, we don’t do that,” Obama said.

Biden’s weekend comes as the presidential campaign is heating up, after he and Trump both effectively blocked their party nominations.

Trump was on Long Island at to meet with grieving family members at a vigil for slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, who was killed in the line of duty. He was shot and killed in Queens during a routine traffic stop stopped Monday and gruesome surveillance footage captured the moment.

Trump had a big week on the legal front. A court panel granted him a reprieve and additional time to pay a reduced $175 million judgment in his New York fraud case. And his Trump Media company went public, increasing his net worth by billions.
