I’m a grandmother and now I’m dating a Turkish toyboy who is the same age as my 19-year-old daughter

A grandmother has revealed she is dating a Turkish toyboy who is the same age as her 19-year-old daughter.

Rachel McIntyre, 35, from Edinburgh, met her boyfriend Seskan during a two-month holiday in Marmaris, Turkey, in June.

Seskan, 19, worked as a waiter at the hotel she was staying at and Rachel said she noticed him ‘immediately’ because of his good looks.

Rachel said she “retired” when she found out how old Seskan is, as her daughter Beth is the same age, making her a grandmother at 34 when little Alaia was born in late July 2023.

But she said his “persistent flirting” won her over. “We spent all his free time together and gradually fell in love,” she told the newspaper Mirroradding that they spent their time together going on long bike rides and walks.

Rachel also said she was hesitant because she, a Turkish waiter she dated in September 2023, was “obviously looking for a visa.”

‘But Seskan is different: he is kind, smart, gentle, funny and a great lover. He has never asked me for money and usually pays when we go out,” she told the newspaper.

After Rachel returned to Britain in August, the couple strengthened their relationship with regular video calls.

In September, Rachel returned to Turkey with her daughter Erika, 11, who she took out of school – who ‘doesn’t get fined’ in Scotland – to go on holiday.

‘It’s a controversial situation, but it has made me happier than I could ever have imagined. I know there will be criticism if I take Erika out of school to visit my young lover, but I don’t care,” Rachel told the Mirror.

Rachel and Seskan are also planning a trip to Thailand together in December.

She said that when they were reunited in Turkey last month, their relationship was “stronger than ever.”

Rachel added that her daughters also like Seskan, even though Beth was skeptical at first because they were close in age.

Rachel, who lives with both her daughters and her granddaughter, told her young boyfriend she doesn’t want any more children — a decision he agrees with, she said.

Rachel first became pregnant when she was just 15, and said she had some reservations about being a young grandmother because she knows how hard it is to be a young, full-time mother.

Rachel, who says she is regularly asked for identification when buying a drink, said last year: ‘My daughter has only just turned 18 [after the birth]and I was very shocked when I found out she was pregnant.

“But once it sunk in, I started to get excited. I knew that of course I would support her too.

‘People don’t even believe I’m the mother of my daughter. They look at me in complete shock when I tell them. They’re like, “Wait, aren’t you sisters?” When I say that I am also a grandmother, the shock is even greater.

‘I’m always asked for ID because I look so young. It’s annoying, but it’s also a bit of a compliment.’

Although Rachel has enjoyed settling into her new role as a grandmother following the birth of her granddaughter on July 25, 2023, she admitted that watching her young daughter go into labor was stressful.

The mother-of-two added: “It was quite traumatizing to see your daughter go through something like that at the age of 17.

‘The birth was a bit horrific, but luckily my granddaughter is such a good baby. She doesn’t really cry. She only makes noise when she’s hungry and eating and sleeping.’

Rachel said the biggest advantage of being a young grandmother is that she is young and fit enough to do many things with her granddaughter.

After having a tummy tuck in Turkey last year, the OnlyFans model said: ‘I’m looking forward to going to the gym to get my body looking its best.

‘The biggest advantage of being such a young grandmother is that I have a lot more energy.

‘When my granddaughter is older, I can take her out and not be as tired as older grandmothers. I don’t think there are any downsides to being a grandma at 34.

‘I haven’t been convicted of it yet, but it probably will happen. Although it doesn’t bother me. People will criticize anything these days. Life is about being happy, and as long as you’re happy, you’ll go far.”

Rachel, who became a mother at the age of 16, said that even though she looked more like her granddaughter’s mother than her grandmother, she would never want to be called anything else.

She revealed: ‘I want to be called grandma. I would never want to be called just Rachel. She’s my angel.’
