Grand Designs Australia Host Peter Maddison Says The Block Should Be BANNED From TV: ‘It’s Absolute Bloody Nonsense’

“It should be banned from TV because it leaves people with false aspirations that they can become, unquote, project managers, builders or designers,” Peter continued.
‘It’s a prank. It is a very bad example of the reality of construction, the responsibilities around it and the difficulty of it all. They make it look so easy.
While both Grand Designs and The Block deal with building houses, Peter says that only his series has “integrity” and shows “the true trials and tribulations” of the building process.

Unfortunately for Peter, The Block had a monster ratings season in 2022 and it’s not going away anytime soon.
The Grand Finale saw 1.384 million tube viewers tuning in to watch the houses go up for auction.

Channel Nine made ratings history with a whopping 1.692 million metropolitan viewers watching the final fifteen minutes to see Omar and Oz emerge victorious.
The Sydney-based best friends sold their 10-acre property for a whopping $5,666,666.66.
In the end, they walked away with a record prize of $1,686,666.66.
