A passionate assessment of football morale by Gordon Strachan has resurfaced on Twitter in recent days.

The video, originally from 2014, was shared in response to Manchester United’s statement on Mason Greenwood’s future.

Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 and charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive conduct, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm. All charges were dropped in February 2023 after key witnesses withdrew their cooperation.

United released a statement on Wednesday saying that no decision has yet been made on the 21-year-old’s future amid reports the club were planning to bring him back into the first team.

In the video, Strachan claims that “we don’t have any morals in football” before outlining that throughout his career as a player and manager he has faced “mistreatment of women”, “incidents of drunk driving” and “infidelity”. ‘.
