He said: “My biggest fear, ripped pants live on Saturday night.”

Gordon has Future Food Stars returning to BBC One for a second series due to start later this year.

As with the first series, the show will feature 12 contestants seeking investments in culinary businesses while dealing with a variety of food challenges.

Meanwhile, Gordon is set to return for another ITV road trip with Fred Sirieix, while bosses hope Gino D’Acampo will change his mind and return to the show despite some contract issues.
