The show was previously produced by ITV America, according to the publication, in association with Optomen and A Smith & Co.
The show’s premise follows Ramsay as he visits failing restaurants across America and gives them a makeover.
He spends a week at the establishments, helping the owners revive their business by offering a solid helping of harsh criticism and blunt advice.
Previously, Kitchen Nightmares ended in June 2014 after the television personality decided it was “time to take a day off.”
At the time, the author announced that he would stop making any more seasons of Kitchen Nightmares with a personally written letter that he would share on his website.
“I’m currently filming four new episodes [the UK’s] Channel 4, that will be my last,” he said in the announcement.
“I’ve had a phenomenal 10 years with 123 episodes, 12 seasons, shot on 2 continents, watched by tens of millions of people and sold to over 150 countries,” Ramsay continued. “It’s been great, but it’s time to end it.”
He added, “During this time I’ve visited over 100 restaurants, met some of the most weird and wonderful people, and tried to help — or in some cases, not help.
The show first debuted in the UK ten years earlier and became an instant hit.
After five seasons, he brought an American version of the show to Fox in 2007. That show aired for about seven seasons before Ramsay called it quits.
Four years later, he started a new show with Fox titled 24 Hours to Hell and Back.
The show – in which he also gave much-needed makeovers to struggling restaurants – only lasted three seasons before ending.
