Google has been hit by a global outage affecting thousands of users.
DownDetector shows that issues occurred around 11 a.m. ET, affecting Search, the website, and Google Drive.
Users in the US, UK, Australia, parts of Europe, South America and Asia have reported problems with the tech giant’s services.
It is unclear how many users are affected and what caused the outage.

The DownDetector fault map for the US, it appears that users have reported problems in New York City, San Francisco and parts of the Midwest.
In Britain, Glasgow and Cambridge are also in the red, but America appears to be more affected by the outage than other countries.
Americans reported seeing a server error when trying to connect to Chrome, which is also lagging for some users.
About 64 percent of the issues reported to DownDetector cited Search as the main issue, 30 percent with the website, and just under seven percent cited Google Drive.
Users have shared their frustrations with Elon Musk’s X, with some saying Google Maps is also experiencing an outage.

It is unclear how many users are affected and what caused the outage. But the affected people share the problems on X
One Google user shared a screenshot on the social media platform with the text: ‘502. That’s a mistake. The server encountered a temporary error and cannot complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds. That’s all we know.’
However, the outage does not seem to have any consequences. All users in countries submit problem reports to DownDetector.
