TV series Good Omens has been renewed for a third season, but fans say they are ‘heartbroken’ as a big name will be leaving the show.
Probably the last chapter of the show. David Tennant, 52, and Michael Sheen, 54, will lead the final episodes as Crowley and Aziraphale.
But big name Douglas Mackinnon, who was executive producer, director and co-showrunner for the first two seasons, will be leaving the show and fans say he will be dearly missed.
Douglas announced his departure from the TV series on Instagram.
He posted a photo from the set on Monday with the caption: ‘Challenge accepted: To all professionals in the television/film world, join the challenge to post a photo of you in your work. Just a photo, no description. The goal is to flood social media with our profession and raise awareness about the current struggle.”

It comes just months after David called on social media users to stop passing judgment on topics before taking the time to investigate what has caused their anger.
The show was previously hit by more than 20,000 complaints from Christians who insisted the program promoted and normalized Satanism.
The Amazon Prime Video adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel follows his character Crowley, who tries to prevent the arrival of the Antichrist when his boss decides to trigger the apocalypse.
And David insists people shouldn’t jump to conclusions after the first series sparked a petition.
The show tells the story of an unlikely friendship between Michael’s finicky angel, Aziraphale, and David’s quirky yet charming demon, Crowley, who team up to save the world by preventing the coming of Armageddon at the hands of an 11-year-old antichrist.
Also starring Mad Men alum Jon Hamm is the archangel Gabriel and Better Call Saul’s Michael McKean as a crazed witch hunter.
The plot features a group of satanic nuns called the Chattering Order of St. Beryl, a family of witches, and the reenactment of Jesus’ crucifixion.
Good Omens is produced by Amazon Studios, BBC Studios Productions, The Blank Corporation and Narrativia.
