During the segment, Salma and Caroline discussed Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner’s comment after she called Trump a “buffoon.”

Caroline said: “Yes, I could have chosen different words to describe his approach to the pandemic because I thought he was wrong with many of his comments during that time.

‘But here too a lot is about theatre. Again, he knows the special relationship is important.”

Salma interrupted him and added: ‘I don’t agree with you there. I worked with the Trump administration when I was at the Department of the Interior in 2017 – the first Trump administration, and he takes things seriously!”

Earlier this week, Good Morning Britain fans were divided during Tuesday’s episode when a super-sized hosting team was called in for a major shake-up from the presenter.
