Good Morning Britain star is ‘gutted’ after ITV show axes after just two series since launching in 2021
A Good Morning Britain star has revealed he is ‘gutted’ after hearing the news that an ITV show has been axed after just two series.
Alex Beresford, who presents All About Britain with Rita Hebden, 40, revealed the show has been axed after it ‘failed to make a lasting impression on viewers’.
The weatherman, 42, told me The sun: ‘We’ve had a great time exploring and celebrating places like Blackpool, The Eden Project in Cornwall and Edinburgh, but we won’t be making any more episodes.
‘It’s not all bad news though, there’s a new project on the horizon.
‘However, I am working on another project for ITV, details of which will be announced shortly.’

The programme, which launched in 2021, saw presenters explore the Channel Islands, from ancient castles to the walls of Jersey’s capital, St Helier.
Meanwhile, viewers can be excited to see Alex appear alongside his dad Noel for Celebrity Race Across The World, which starts on September 13.
Celebrities will have to cross the finish line thousands of miles away without the use of air travel or modern technology, just like in the civilian version of the series. Alex will join McFly drummer Harry Judd, All Saints singer Melanie Blatt and driver Billy Monger on a trip around the world, each taking a family member with them.
Alex, who married Imogen McKay in October after they started dating in August 2020, shared a series of sweet throwback snaps.
The photos include a loving photo of the couple on holiday in Deia, Mallorca, after his proposal on New Year’s Day last year, a close-up of the ring and a cheerful photo of the newlyweds after their wedding.
Alex asked Imogen to marry him in a bay while they enjoyed a New Year’s holiday together.

They decided to return to Mallorca in October for their wedding, where they enjoyed a lavish party with their loved ones.
Alex captioned the post: ‘Last year as the sun lit up a beautiful little bay in Deia I got down on one knee and asked Imogen to marry me and nine months later we had an amazing day.’
Alex and Imogen started dating in August 2020 after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date.
He told HELLO! magazine: ‘I had been single for a while and was ready for a new relationship. But I was convinced I didn’t want to try a dating website.
“I’m at an age where, before social media, you would meet a girl, write down her phone number and call her to invite her out.”
He explained that he asked a friend if she knew anyone he would get along with, to which she replied, “Yes, but she’s way too good for you.”
The host said he laughed along and told her, “She’s the one I want!”
