Grayson Murray was honored Sunday at his local golf club in Raleigh, when a moment of silence was held for the late golfer a week after his death by suicide.
Murray, 30, is believed to have died of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning after leaving his SUV in his ground-floor garage.
And on Sunday, Murray was remembered at Raleigh Country Club during the Korn Ferry Tour’s UNC Health Championship, with an honorary tee time for the hometown star.
According to reporter Peter KoutroumpisMurray’s friend and former high school teammate Carter Jenkins tapped Murray’s big and bib before teeing off.
Murray had previously spoken openly about his battles with depression, anxiety and alcoholism.

Over the past year, however, he had turned things around by getting sober, qualifying again for the PGA Tour and winning January’s Sony Open, his first win in seven years.
That sentiment was echoed by NBC Sports and Golf Channel reporter Todd Lewis, who watched Murray throughout his career.
“Early in Grayson’s career, he had a lot of demons,” Lewis said.
“He battled alcoholism. He battled depression, battled anxiety.
“He realized it was okay not to be okay and that gave him the comfort to seek help so he could have positive people around him.”
Murray’s death came a day after he unexpectedly withdrew from the second round of the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas. He had told his playing partners that he was not feeling well.
He was then found in his $800,000 home around 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, according to local police.
