A three-year-old girl has died after her golden retriever fell from the fifth floor of a residential building while she was walking with her mother along a busy road in Mumbra, India, yesterday.
Shocking surveillance footage shared on social media shows the dog plummeting to the ground and landing on the girl with tremendous force, causing her to lose consciousness.
The photo shows her mother picking up the girl’s limp body from the ground as she runs away from the scene, with bystanders helping her.
Meanwhile, the golden retriever, who has landed on his back, can be seen struggling to get up.
When the animal finally gets up, it moves slowly and appears disoriented.

A local source said: ‘Her mother quickly picked her up and rushed her, along with a few others, to the hospital as she had fallen unconscious.
The infant was taken to Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital in Kalwa and later shifted to Kalsekar Hospital, but was later declared brought dead.
According to local police, it is suspected that the dog was thrown from the terrace of the building by someone while the girl and her mother were walking on the street. They are still investigating how the dog fell.
