Golden Knights’ William Karlsson falls on stage in hilarious drunken speech at Stanley Cup parade
Vegas Golden Knights star William Karlsson sure had a wild night to remember after he fell on stage, chugged out the Stanley Cup and dropped an F-bomb in his hilarious drunken speech during the team’s crazy parade at Las Vegas. Vegas strip.
When the new Stanley Cup champions were announced to the crowd Saturday in Toshiba Plaza outside the T-Mobile Arena, Karlson, clutching a tall boy, slipped down the stairs before teammates helped him back to his feet.
“Ow,” Karlsson said after his fall.
The center gathered fans to chant “Go, Knights Go” as he took off his shirt and tossed it into the crowd during team captain Mark Stone’s outdoor speech.
Karlsson, who was selected by the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft, then took the microphone to introduce Jonathan Marchessault, this year’s MVP at the Stanley Cup Finals, onstage.

‘Okay, you can hear me, can you hear me? So um, this dude, this damn dude, he was here the first day, and I know you were here the first day,” Karlsson said before getting a round of applause and cheers from the Vegas. faithful and his teammates.
Karlsson, 30, is in his sixth season with the Golden Knights and improves an impressive postseason record with 17 points in 22 playoff games.
The Swede also brought up the Arizona Coyotes during his impassioned speech.
“You guys are so great, we played Arizona in the first game and we beat them hard,” he said. “And I had no points, but that’s okay because I was pretty good that first year. But you were bigger. We’ve been up and down this journey to the cup.”
Several teammates and parade organizers on stage tried to cut the elated Karlsson off the microphone, but he continued with his remarks.
“Listen to me, we’ve waited six long years for this guy to be MVP, Jonathan Marchessault,” he added.
‘Wild Bill’ then took a sip from the golden chalice — the Stanley Cup — before jumping on a loudspeaker and showing off his karaoke skills as soon as ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen’ started playing.
