Gold Logie Award winner presenter Larry Emdur remains ‘completely focused’ on his work despite reportedly being stalked by an obsessed fan after scooping the top prize at this month’s TV night of nights.
Concerned viewers noticed the longtime Channel Seven presenter had disappeared from The Morning Show on Wednesday after it emerged New South Wales police had to deploy an AVO to protect him from an allegedly obsessed fan.
However, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the Seven star is still working and was on an agreed break from the program as he was busy filming the next season of his hit game show, The Chase Australia.
Network insiders assured Daily Mail Australia that the tireless entertainer was still in good spirits and hoped to “get on with his work” with as little distraction as possible.
New South Wales police were called to Seven’s Eveleigh headquarters at around 11.15am last Thursday after Rodney Pearce, 52, from Victoria allegedly attempted to enter the building.
“Officers from the South Sydney Police Area Command attended the scene and spoke to a 52-year-old man who had been escorted from the building by security,” New South Wales police said in a statement.
Pearce was arrested and taken to hospital for a check-up before being taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

He was charged with trespassing and possession of a prohibited drug.
Pearce appeared at Downing Centre Magistrates’ Court where he was granted conditional bail. He is due to appear again on September 5.
His conditions include not being allowed on Central Ave, the Haymarket suburb, and not being within 200 metres of Channel 7.
The 52-year-old must also report to Redfern police station every day.
Court records show that the AVO for Emdur’s protection will be called in court on September 16.
The arrest came just days after Emdur took home the top prize at the Logies 2024 on August 18.
After forty years on screen, the television personality finally took home the top prize.
Network Seven declined to comment as the matter is still before the courts.
The incident is said to have taken place at Seven’s headquarters in Eveleigh, southern Sydney.
