Mother scolded by irate parents after ‘finding’ her sleeping baby on kitchen floor: ‘Why didn’t you look at her?’
- Mom shares video of baby sleeping on floor
- She said she “found” her there
- Trolls say she should have kept a closer eye
A mom didn’t quite get what she bargained for when she posted an innocent video of her baby sleeping on the floor.
Influencer Amanda Reardon shared a clip after finding her nine-month-old Sierra taking an impromptu nap on the dining room floor, only to receive a series of outraged comments.
Mothers blamed Amanda for not keeping an eye on the baby and wondered why she had been left alone for so long to fall asleep.
Not everyone was bothered by the “cute” video and was quick to defend the Gold Coast mum who said the baby could be in a “deep sleep” in the blink of an eye.
“If you’ve been a follower for a long time, you know that Sierra sleeps everywhere,” Amanda writes clamp show Sierra sinking into the thoroughfare between the kitchen and dining room.

Influencer mom Amanda Reardon (pictured) has hit back at trolls berating her for posting a video where she found her nine-month-old Sierra asleep in the middle of the floor
Many thought the video was amusing and “cute,” but trolls were quick to criticize the mother, believing she had left her young daughter unattended
Some parents were not impressed with the video and were eager to share their thoughts.
“How long was she alone at that age to ‘find her’?” a woman asked.
‘Found it??? How are you supposed to FIND your baby?” another wondered.
‘Is this normal? I have two kids and neither of them ever randomly sleeps in strange places?’ added a third.
Amanda didn’t take the criticism to heart and even started responding sarcastically to the angry trolls.
Not everyone was bothered by the “cute” video and was quick to defend the former Amazing Race contestant
‘And where were you then, mother???’ one viewer demanded to know to which Amanda replied, “Sunbathing on my superyacht.”
“How long was she alone at that age to ‘find her’?” another commented and Amanda replied, “12 o’clock. She’s super independent.”
The mother gave a more legitimate explanation of how she found Sierra on the floor saying that the baby often fell asleep in an instant.
Many were on Amanda’s side and thought the video was “cute.”
“All the people who say watch your kids obviously don’t have kids or they have them and they don’t teach them independence or self-reliance!! My children played and fell asleep while playing,” said one mother.
“And I would have left her there, put a blanket over her and moved on,” wrote a second.
“Omg, these comments are ridiculous. Your baby is beautiful and I love that she falls asleep everywhere!!’ a third agreed.
One woman said she didn’t think it was “bad parenting” to let a baby sleep on the floor, but that the word “found” was “misleading.”
‘Yes, I understand how it sounds. I mean, she wasn’t missing. One moment she was awake, the next she was deep asleep,’ Amanda clarified.
