A well-known fitness model has shared her heartbreak after what would have been her fifth child was stillborn.
Sophie Guidolin, 33, of the Gold Coast, announced on Wednesday that she had given birth to her late daughter Pixie.
“I can’t begin to articulate my pain, grief and despair through all of my soul,” she wrote in an emotional Instagram post, revealing that she had a C-section.
‘I’m trying to trust God’s timing and I’ve always believed that the universe has my back and no matter how confusing this all feels, I’m trying to make sense of this pain with my faith.
“I feel so guilty for my previous thoughts and I would do anything to be in pain, for this heartbreaking experience. I don’t even have the words on how to write or how to understand this.
Sophie Guidolin, a 33-year-old mother of four (pictured with husband) from the Gold Coast, announced on Wednesday that she had lost her unborn daughter, Pixie.
‘Perhaps some souls were always meant to be angels.’
Ms. Guidolin, who has amassed nearly 550,000 followers by sharing her nutrition and fitness tips, struggled during her pregnancy with Pixie.
The mother suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, which is when pregnant women experience severe vomiting and nausea that can last for days.
The disease can lead to dehydration, weight loss, and vitamin deficiencies.
On January 8, Ms. Guidolin shared a photo of herself in the hospital with a drip.
The model revealed that on Wednesday she gave birth to her dead daughter
“This pregnancy has almost officially defeated me,” she wrote.
‘I’m so exhausted, I’m so sick.
‘An example from today is a beautiful 30C day, (my husband) Andrew is out on a boat with friends, my friends are having lunch, (my son) Ryder is going to the movies… All while lying in hospital with a drip.
I just want my life back, or at least the basics. The simple things that are so normal in everyday life that I find it hard to do right now, showers even make me dizzy.
In another post from a few days ago, the model shared a photo of herself on the beach with her daughter, while another image showed her clinging to a barf bag.
Ms Guidolin battled with horrible nausea during her pregnancy
“Before I go back to the hospital tomorrow morning, I will come out of a dark hole to see the ocean and the children,” he said.
“I lasted about 20 minutes in the heat, the sun and the public display of being sick.”
The mother had previously said that she wanted her followers to know that her life was not ‘all sunshine’.
Ms. Guidolin announced her pregnancy in mid-December, just one month after marrying her husband, the doctor Andrew Firgaira.
