Gogglebox’s Daniel Lustig reveals how he hopes to meet his next partner following his split from husband Stephen Webb

Daniel Lustig has revealed he sees himself falling in love again and knows how he would like to meet his next partner following his split from husband Stephen Webb.

The TV personality, 43, and his now former husband Stephen, 52, announced in April that they were divorcing after six years of marriage.

The Googlebox star opened up about how he and Stephen successfully got through their breakup and he now feels ready to find love again.

Speak with OK!, hairdresser Daniel said: ‘I believe in love and I absolutely still do. I can see myself falling in love again and perhaps getting married again one day.’

Daniel, who runs two salons with fellow stylist Stephen, told how the former couple met when they were both queuing at City Hall.

The TV personality, who has never used dating apps, told how he would like to meet his next boyfriend in a similar way.

He said: ‘When I met Stephen there was a strange website but there were no dating apps. I met him in a line at City Hall. I hope that I will meet someone again, but this time perhaps not in the town hall.

‘Maybe I’ll run out of poop bags and turn to a really handsome guy and say, ‘Hello, do you have any poop bags?’ and he’ll say, ‘Yes here, and here’s my number!’

Daniel added that he should find a younger friend to teach him how to use dating apps.

It comes after Daniel broke his silence after it emerged Stephen had signed up to Celebs Go Dating.

Just weeks after the announcement, it was reported that Stephen had been scouted for the dating show by E4 bosses and is ‘excited’ to be looking for love again.

Yet Daniel proved to be nothing but supportive as the ex-couple parted ways amicably and vowed to remain good friends.

He said he doesn’t know much about the show, he said The mirror: ‘But whatever he does, I will definitely support him and watch.”

When asked if it was too early for Stephen to take part in a dating show, he quickly denied: ‘No, not at all, it’s something that has been going on for a while and he will be a very good candidate. When he’s on it, he has some really funny stories.”

‘Yes, of course I want him to find love again. We always want our exes and friends to find love and just be happy,” he added.

‘Bosses were keen to bring him in as soon as they heard he and Stephen had split because they know viewers will be invested in his path to finding love again, and he’s already a firm favorite with Channel 4 viewers after years on Gogglebox.

‘Stephen is also keen to have fun again after a difficult few months, and he is also eager to get back on TV after having to retire from Dancing on Ice due to an injury.

‘He was devastated when that didn’t happen, but he’s looking forward to starting a new project. He is realistic that he may not find Mr Right, but he is up for a joke in the dating scene.”

Celebs Go Dating follows a group of single stars as they search for love, with a little help from dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson.

Daniel and Stephen have said they are still on good terms and both run their hair salon together.

They appeared to split amicably as they took to Instagram after sharing the relationship news – posting a video of themselves on a tandem bike and making light of their split.

Stephen even joked in the caption as he wrote, “Tandem riding straight out of this marriage #beryl #bff.”

They looked like they were having a great time as they enjoyed a day out together in sunny Brighton, where they live.

A day earlier, television personality Stephen said The sun on Sunday: ‘It is with great sadness that Daniel and I have decided to divorce.

‘There is and always will be a lot of love, but unfortunately we have grown apart and have made the decision to part ways.’

Daniel said: ‘It is with heavy hearts that we have made the decision to confirm that our marriage has come to an end.

“I’m sure we’ll be friends forever.”

Stephen first appeared on the Channel 4 show Gogglebox over a decade ago in 2023, alongside his ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed.

When the couple split, Stephen remained on the program with his late mother Pat.
