Gogglebox George Gilbey’s daughter has made a heartbreaking request to Santa following the death of her father earlier this year.
The reality star tragically fell to her death through the roof of a warehouse in March at the age of 40.
The Celebrity Big Brother star left behind his eight-year-old daughter Amelie, who has now made a heartbreaking request in her to later ask Santa ‘for daddy to come back’.
Speak with OK! Magazineconfessed George’s mother Linda McGarry: ‘She completed her Christmas list and it will break your heart. It says, “You can forget all that when you bring my father back.”
She added: “They had a daddy’s day [at school] and a girl was crying because her parents were separated and Amelie said, “My father is always with me wherever I go. He is in my heart.”
George shared Amelie with his former partner, Gemma Conway, 44, who described him as ‘a devoted father’ after his sudden death.

George was best known for appearing on Channel 4’s Gogglebox alongside his mother Linda, 74, and stepfather Pete, who died aged 71 after bowel cancer in 2021.
And Linda revealed them too suffered a stroke six months after George’s death and believes it was due to stress and heartbreak.
She said: ‘I’m so lucky my friends were here and they took me to hospital. In the tests they couldn’t find where it came from, but I think it’s George’s shock. There is no greater stress than what I have experienced.”
The grieving mother also admitted that she had been watching old episodes of Gogglebox to help her remember her son.
Linda also took her granddaughter and Amelie’s mother on holiday to Lanzarote this summer, as she confessed that George still loved Gemma and would always praise her as the best mother in the world.
A month after his death, she admitted: ‘I’m devastated – he was like my best friend.
‘He had the best heart in the world – he was generous, funny and kind, with great charm and a huge personality.
‘He has done more in his forty years than people in their nineties; he even had dinner with the Prince of Dubai.

‘He was crazy, but after he left showbiz he couldn’t get his life back on track. He just couldn’t get over Pete’s death.
‘I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and he thought it was worse than me. He was a mama’s boy. He became famous overnight, but he didn’t really want that; he was just normal.
‘But it allowed him to do charity work. Every time someone contacted him about charity work, he made it a priority.”
The Essex family left the Gogglebox sofa in 2014 when George broke the show’s rules by entering the Celebrity Big Brother house – and then onto rival Channel 5.
Just four days ago, George posted a beaming selfie on Facebook sharing that he had purchased a gym membership.
He captioned the photo of himself sweating next to another photo of a gym card: “Done. Full membership.’
His tragic death comes less than three years after his stepfather Pete died at the age of 71.
Pete’s beloved wife Linda revealed that he was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year but despite recent surgery to remove the tumor, he was given just six months to live.
Tragically, he died just days after the prognosis, with Linda, also 71, telling the story The sun at the time: ‘Pete was a lovely man and I was lucky to have him for 25 years.
“I said to him, ‘Not only have we been together for 25 years, it’s been night and day together.’ He was my life.’
A statement on behalf of the family said at the time: ‘We are deeply saddened to announce that Gogglebox star Pete McGarry passed away this weekend at the age of 71 with his family by his side after a short illness.
