Gogglebox star Angie Kent reveals she ‘realised what she was missing’ after entering her ‘first queer relationship’ and hasn’t dated a man in three years – after revealing she’s pansexual

Angie Kent has revealed how she discovered her true self after her first ‘queer’ relationship.

The Gogglebox Australia star tells in this week’s issue Stellar Magazine that she hasn’t had a relationship with a man for three years.

“I always blamed myself. I thought I needed more therapy or that I wasn’t dateable. I’m someone who falls in love with the soul, not with how someone looks or identifies,” the 34-year-old said.

“Then I had my first queer relationship and I was like, ‘Okay, this is what I’ve been missing,’” she continued.

“I’m not really scared of being alone. I don’t think my purpose in life is to find my person.”

Angie also said she’s embraced her fluid sexuality since appearing on The Bachelorette.

‘The feeling that I had to be a Barbie doll [on that show] “I didn’t like that,” she said.

“When I look back, I think, who was that little person trying to be perfect… when you’re not?” she added.

‘But I did show a side that I love, which is that women can be a little dirty and funny and stand up for themselves and still be someone you can date.

Angie previously revealed that she is pansexual.

Speaking with The Herald Sunthe TV star previously only had relationships with men because society expected that of her.

“I’ve always been pansexual, but I don’t think I’ve ever really talked about it,” she told Confidential.

“I always blamed myself. I thought I needed more therapy or that I wasn’t dateable. I’m a person who falls in love with the soul, not with the way someone looks or identifies,” the 34-year-old said

‘It’s a society thing. I never really got to explore it and now I’m like, “Go for it, girl, go and explore it.”‘

Pansexuality refers to attraction to people regardless of their sex or gender identity.

“I don’t care what you are, as long as we have a connection. Gender isn’t a big deal to me and never has been,” Angie said.

“I’ve always dated men because that’s what was expected of me,” she admitted.

Angie ultimately chose personal trainer and actor Carlin Sterritt as her winning suitor on The Bachelorette in 2019.

They lived together briefly in Sydney, but split after a few months.

In 2022, she shared on her podcast Two Girls One Pod that she had a one-date with a cameraman.

“Yeah, he’s sweet, I’m a firm believer in not shitting where you eat. He’s one of the cameramen on a show I’m on now,” she confessed.
